Please do not attach a panic log unless you want us to read it: a log carries your iPhone's serial number and identifiers.

Common questions

Where do I find the panic log?

In Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements › Analytics Data, in a file whose name starts with panic-full. Open it, tap Share, then PhoneBox. Panic analyzer has a step-by-step guide.

There is no panic-full file in Analytics Data.

Then iOS has not recorded a panic since its logs were last cleared. A restart you started yourself, or one caused by an update, leaves none.

PhoneBox says the log matches no rule.

PhoneBox never guesses: a log that matches no rule is reported as unknown, with the codes it found. Updates add rules as public repair sources describe new panics.

Battery health says the file holds no battery data.

A day can have two analytics files. Share the other one from the same day. Share iPhone Analytics must be on for iOS to write them.

How do I restore Premium?

Open Settings in PhoneBox and tap Restore purchase, signed in with the Apple Account that bought it. Premium is one purchase; it follows your Apple Account.

Why do I see ads, and what do they know?

Ads keep PhoneBox free. They never receive anything from a log or a result. You can change your ad choices in the app's Settings; Premium removes the ads.

Does PhoneBox send my logs anywhere?

No. Your logs and photos never leave your iPhone. See the Privacy Policy for what ads, analytics and crash reports receive.
